(*1981, Banská Štiavnica, SK) Tomas Morilon was born in Banská Štiavnica where he spent his childhood in the stunning landscape of Štiavnica Mountains. The beauty of local nature is reflected in many of his works. Being raised in an art-minded family, the young author had various artforms within easy reach. Surrounded by paintings, photography, poetry and music he naturally started to experiment with black-and-white photography at the age of 10. He has devoted himself to photography intensively since 1999, and has embraced several styles. After a short creative break he started to experiment with large-format photography in combination with various visual art techniques.

His photographs express his concentration on capturing a specific atmosphere or motion in form of a static picture, which is unveiled in the finest details. Tomas Morilon lives and works in Bratislava.
