(*1939, Bratislava, SK) Painter, graphic artist and illustrator. Vladimír Gažovič studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, prof. Vincent Hloznik. Later on he won a scholarship Herder awards at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, prof. Maximilian Melcher. In 1979 he successfully completed an internship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. During his studies he devoted to fantastic realism. In his works he reflects to Albin Brunovsky and he developed a strain imaginative approach based on surrealism. Vladimír Gažovič devotes mainly to litography. Artistic and technical originality of his woks appreciated the world´s top exhibitions of graphic arts. His work is represented in collections in Amsterdam, Chicago, Hamburg, New York City, Bratislava and so on. Vladimír Gažovič exhibited in many countries and received many awards for his work.
