(* 1958, Šaľa, SK) Painter, graphic author, illustrator, sculptor, professor. From 1977 to 1983 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Department of Book Production at prof. Albín Brunovský.

His distinctive expression evolves from the depths of consciousness and subconsciousness, inspired in the world of the individual, as well as in the history of different civilizations. The light, that creates the mystical atmosphere of his works, has a dominant place in his creation. He understands it as a source of knowledge, life, purity and hope. Róbert Jančovič belongs to a small group of Slovak graphic artists who use the technique of scratched lithography.

In 1995 he was very much involved in the creation of the Association of Slovak Graphic Artists G point. Róbert Jančovič is involved in graphic, drawing, collage, painting, illustration, stamping, occasionally also in  plastic. His works are represented in domestic and foreign collections (eg Hungary, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, USA, Canada, Egypt).
