(*1950 - †2016, Bratislava, SK) Dušan Polakovič is one of the most important Slovak graphic artists and illustrators. In the years 1970-1972 he studied at the Akademia sztuk pieknych in Warsaw, Poland. In 1972-1976 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, prof. Albín Brunovský. He humorously depicted different historical and mythological portraits and stories. Dušan Polakovič was awarded the title of Doctor Humoris Causa at Malostranska beseda in 1985, Prague. He devoted to illustration, painting, free graphics art and satirical drawing.
