The exhibition ST: ART or Slovak Talents in ART will present a selection of university students. As the title suggests, the exhibition presents the creation of young Slovak talents in the field of art. UNESCO's main priorities include the promotion of youth, culture and education. It is the combination of these three goals that is the ideal choice for an exhibition of our students right in the heart of Paris.
We will present 9 authors, while each school will be presented by 3 selected students:
Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava - Matej Maturkanič, Lucia Žitnayová, Lilla Gombos
Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica - Natália Šimonová, Barbora Durajová, Miroslav Sandanus
Faculty of Arts of the Technical University in Košice - Alexander Takáč, Katarína Gregová, Matúš Kecer
The selection of students was carried out in cooperation with the universities. In addition to classical painting approaches, the exhibition also presents experimental work, digital collage, airbrush and graphic techniques. The selection of works includes figurative and abstract work, minimalism and expressionism or inspiration from street art.
The exhibition will be moved to the OECD premises in Paris in the Autumn.
We are implementing the project in cooperation with the Slovak Institute in Paris and the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Republic to UNESCO.
We also thank the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and the Technical University in Košice for their cooperation in the transport of works.
