(* 1959, Gbely, SK) Between 1975 and 1979, he studied at the School of Applied Arts in Bratislava and in the years 1980-1986 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, in the Department of Graphics and Book Illustration with Professor Albín Brunovský.
Marián Komáček is a leading member of several professional associations, he was the chairman of the Graphics Association (1995-1999), vice president of Art Diagonal in Vienna, chairman of the Association of Graphic Artists of Slovakia and member of the leading graphic association Hollar in the Czech Republic. He has presented his paintings and graphic creation on numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad. Marián Komáček has participated in numerous domestic and foreign symposia and workshops and has won numerous awards for his graphic work (Cairo, 1996; Portland and Chamalieres, 1997; Ostrów Wielkopolski, 1999; Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, 2007). He is the holder of the Identification Code of Slovakia (2012). The author lives in Bratislava and is engaged in graphics, painting, illustration and graphic design.
