The work of Igor Benca has come out of the context of Brunovsky's graphic school. The author works with a figurative motif whose anthropomorphic nature changes in the process of creation to a technical character. His recent work is also linked to current neoabstract tendencies. Part of the author's concept is the illusion of light and transparency, for which he uses the mezzotint technique. The work of Igor Benca may seem depressing at first glance, but it basically contains irony reflecting the various paradoxes of the era, especially shifted social values and unethical social events.
