The story of a successful photographer who fell in love with a young art teacher. Alfred Stieglitz and Georgia O'Keeffe.

When they first met in 1916, Alfred was in his fifties and already a famous photographer, Georgia was 30, an art teacher and had been painting for several years. They met at Alfred's Gallery 291, where, among other things, he was also showing Georgia's charcoal drawings without her even knowing about it. The works came into his hands from her friend Anita Pollitzer. The drawings by the unknown artist intrigued him so much that he immediately included them in the exhibition. Georgia found out about the exhibition indirectly and was slightly angry, because how could he afford to do it without her knowledge, she appeared at the exhibition. And that was the beginning of their 30-year journey together.

At the time, married Alfred Stieglitz (1864-1946) came from an upper-class Jewish family, while Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986) was born into a farming family. However, she had been involved in art since her youth, studying at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1905 and 1906, and later in New York. In 1908, her mother contracted tuberculosis and her father went bankrupt, which meant the end of her studies. She had to get a job and start earning money. She found a job as an art teacher and, at the same time, continued to educate herself as much as possible. The turning point came after meeting Alfred Stieglitz.

Alfred was one of the first photographers to devote himself to the artistic depiction of the big city. As an ardent supporter of photography as a new medium, he founded the photographic magazine "Camera Works". In addition, he was active in several photographic associations and societies. Later, he expanded his activities and began to devote himself to exhibitions of modern European painters, such as Henri Matisse, Auguste Rodin, Paul Cézanne and Pablo Picasso. It was during this period that Alfred came across Georgina's drawings.
