Article Art as a good investment in Milliard Sun magazine with paintings from our authors - Melita Gwerková and Marian Vida.
Excerpt from the article:
Who buys art? According to Melita Gwerková Jr., the owner of the private gallery Gallery Gwerk, we could divide art buyers into three groups. "Firstly, there are collectors who understand art and purposefully buy works for their collections. The second group consists of people who are less oriented in art and buy more emotionally. And the last group includes those who are looking for an investment opportunity. Whether short-term, especially with the aim of maintaining value, or long-term, when the buyer intentionally invests in works for which he expects an increase in the value of his investment in a few years. A few years ago, I perceived the greatest interest in buying paintings from clients aged 40-55. Today, this limit is shifting and young people around the age of 30 are already buying their first paintings. In general, I have seen a clear increase in interest in art in recent years."
