(*1945, Zvolen, SK) Painter, graphic artist and illustrator. In 1965-1971 Kamila Štanclová studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, prof. Dezider Milly and at the Department of free graphic art and book illustration, prof. Vincent Hloznik. She received an offer from the publishing house Brio Praha and Gründ in Paris to illustrate complete work of H. Ch. Andersen (156 fairy tales) together with her husband Dusan Kallay. Working on illustrations lasted 4 years and gradually three books were published. Illustrations of Andersen´ s books by both authors became a big narrative and illustration epic full of respect to the text and its beautiful and peculiar adaptation. She has received more than 20 major domestic and international awards. She has also illustrated nearly 60 books for children and adults. Kamila Štanclová lives in Bratislava and devotes to painting, free graphics, exlibris, postage stamps graphic and book illustration.
