Frantisek Liptak finished his studies at the School of Applied Arts graphics department, in Kosice and the University od Performing Arts, department of scenography, in Bratislava. Since 1986 he has worked in most of Slovak theatres as well as theatres in the Czech Republic and Poland. He is a founder of the Independent theatre company Teatro Tatro. In the last 15 years, he created about 90 stage sceneries and many of them were awarded at home and at foreign festivals. He devoted himself to painting and illustration. He had number of exhibitions in Slovakia as well as abroad.
